I stopped in at the Aesop pop-up shop at The Invisible Dog to pick up a gift for my husband. When the sales associate wrapped my purchase she pulled out a bottle from under the counter and sprayed the bag. I was intoxicated. It was the fragrance of my dreams, and I have been searching for it for years. She told me that it was their brand new fragrance called Marrakech Intense. I had to have it.
Here is a write up about the fragrance:
"Created in collaboration with perfumer Barnabé Fillion, Marrakech Intense is an evolution of our first fragrance, offering a sophisticated reinterpretation of original elements. Raw and unorthodox, it combines sensual Neroli and Jasmine with Sandalwood, Cedarwood and Bergamot. The intoxicating city of Marrakech remained our primary inspiration, for the evocative aromas of spices used in local dishes, intense colours characteristic of its souks and surrounding desert, and warm hospitality integral to Moroccan traditions."
As most of you know, I am a fragrance freak so maybe I am a little more excited than most people about this but ... you need to smell it!!
I have been searching for a rich sandalwood scent for so long, but it always seems to be the base note and the top notes crowd it out. The jasmine and Neroli give it the perfect life that makes the sandalwood the pure focus.
Anyway, you should try this. It's amazing, it lasts a very long time on your skin, and it is pretty affordable for a 1.7 oz.
You can purchase it from Aesop.
